You don't have a torch, you have a bic. I am mildly interested in this project because of those damn Roma crafts

Most of my Romacraft bands slide off too, sometimes my fingers need moistening to give them more friction.

I think if I wasn't trying to remove my bands intact in order to save my them for a friend's friend who creates artwork (Ricky bought one of her pieces) I would just peel and tear.

This seam-ripper experiment was an evolution of using a disposable pick/flosser as pictured below. The curved tip lets it slide under the band w/o damaging the wrapper. They work pretty well - I may still file an edge into the middle of the curve and try that.

a jeweler's saw blade would slip under with no problem, some of them, like a 4-0 size, are thin as hairs.

Strange, can't say I ever really had a bad My Father cigar. Although, I think I got a bad batch of flor de Las Antillas. They were rather dry (no oils in wrapper) and pretty flavorless. Based on the rave reviews I'm going with that lol. The rest will get aged extensively but I don't hold out hope since the others look just as dry (paper bag like), but plastic flavor, never. I'll bust one out later and give it a go. These got stuck in transit for 10 days but what the heck. I'ma Frank one for science. :)

Oh yeah, I'm sure he paid a bit more than it was worth but I got a killer deal on it. You can't pick up a beater for how little I paid for this.

8mm Mauser. Got a ton of ammo in the clips in bandoliers in the deal, also. Unfortunately, it's corrosive so the rifle will need regular bathing.

Meh, corrosive isn't really an issue. I shoot the 880 corrosive tins exclusively through Mosins (have for years) and just pour hot water down the barrel when I get back from the range and clean as usual (boresnake then light lube). It's one extra small step. Too bad there isn't more cheap corrosive ammo around like the good old days. It's nice paying $0.12-$0.18 when everyone is sending $1 or more down range per bang.

I miss the days of plentiful surplus rifles and ammo. Unfortunately, I was usually broke so my collection isn't what I hoped it would be by now.
