On Wed. my BnM had an event to roll out a new stick in their store line, calling it the Cream City MKE (Milw. did a lot of buildings with a cream colored brick in late 1800's and into the 20th century). The owner collaborated w/ Erik Espinosa (think Murcielago, 601's, Laranja, La Zona, etc) - the Cream City MKE has a Habano Rosado wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder, 2 flavorful ligero leaves and a Honduran seco for fillers. I was blown away by it and found it complex, medium-full and well-balanced providing generous amounts of smoke. So I bought a box, got four free sticks, a shirt and an ashtray.
The best part was getting to know Erik Espinosa and pick his brain about all sorts of stuff. The guy truly knows tobacco, and told me a bunch of stuff how he works up his blends and has his sticks rolled at La Zona, his factory in Estelli.
Good events like this are great fun!

After a crummy week, I came home today to find a package in the mail from@Avengethis. First were the infused smokes from Drew Estates, two Avos (heard these were pretty good) and an Inception churchill. Oh, and a beautiful piece of steel that was what was intial offered, a R&J guillotine cutter-a big boy...no a superior upgrade to my generic plastic straight cutter (a REAL man's cutter). All of this from a guy celebrating his birthday like it was mine.
Thank you for the new great sticks and a cool classy cutter. Well done @Avengethis. It was much appreciated, brother. The secret word is cigars!6 -
@Avengethis Well done brad. Two nice presents going out on YOUR birthday! Very cool.Friends don't let good friends smoke cheap cigars.2

@johnnyb and @GrouchoM that inception stick is a custom blend for a shop I have been ordering from. Let me know what you guys think of it. The AVO's are the 2013 & 2014 TAA releases.
Thanks again for volunteering, I hope you guys make good use of everything.Team O'Donnell FTW!

Nice score, Charlie! Not bashful are you?

Well, now that I got a cooler, there nothing to think about! A bargain? Sure I'll take it! Now I sound like my wife, "It was such a deal, I couldn't refuse!". Me, "But if you didn't need 1, why do you need 2?". I suppose I understand her thought process now! Wait, did I say that out loud?5

I try to use that on my wife also, she just rolls her eyes and calls me an idiot4
