Basically a large individual bowl of lettuce with pickled vegetables, eggs, cheese, olives, whatever you have arranged around the rim of the bowl with a protein in the center. Historically in Nice it was seafood but here in the US the protein can be any kind of carne.
I am not at all surprised that you have a beautiful salad bowl to eat it out of.

Last night I made Khao Soi. The curry paste was made from scratch...my fingers are still yellow from the fresh tumeric.
