AlRIGHT!! YES!! That's extremely good news, Ricky. It sounds like. Carla is on the upswing now. I'll continue with prayers and good wishes for both of you.
Enjoy your time on the boat, my friend. It'll give you a bit of a respite from what you've been having to deal with and will strengthen you.
She got great reports today from both her cardiologist and hemotologist today. They cut back on a few of her meds and told her she didn't need the insulin anymore. Her cardiologist said he can tell her heart is improving. Still a long way to go and it'll never be close to what it once was but that is great news. Also he told us not to worry about the year or less expectancy thing. That that only applied if they had to send her home on the iv drip she was on in the hospital. Which they didn't. Which ever doctor put that in the report jumped the gun. I'd like to have a face to face with that person. So we are pumped. Now if she would only do the exercises like she's supposed to.
So thankful things are now getting better for you and Carla. Praise the Lord. You and your family have been through so much this is good news indeed. And you want to go back to work, maybe you should have your head checked Ricky, lol. @jlmarta is right, may be good for you to get back to work, now that you're ready. Just be careful out there.
She's still doing good guys. She'd be doing better if she would just do the exercises she's supposed to be doing but to her getting up off the couch and walking to the bathroom counts as exercise. Did I tell you all the good news? While I was on the boat she moved her mom in with us. We get along fine but she's getting frail, deaf and she has no short term memory so we have the same conversations 20 times a day every day. And she's a pacer, just back and forth all day. But I can't really gripe she was a tremendous help financially.
Glad to hear she's still doing well!! Well, at least her mom can keep her company while you're on the boat, even if she has to have the same conversation every 5 minutes
That's great, having someone around to help out and Carla will probably be doing things for her soon. Hopefully give you some peace of mind at work too.
Hey Rick.. Just catching up on some of the news around here. I've been away for awhile. Still keeping you and Carla in my thoughts and praying for continued improvements in her health. Take care.

I know how you feel. This new run they have me on just keeps me busy. Just back and forth every two days between the same places. She's doing real good.
Well more bad news. Took Carla to the ER this morning because she'd been vomitting and had diarrhea all last night through the morning. While there( thank God we weren't home) she had a seizure and her heart stopped. They did CPR and had to shock her once to get it going again. They said it was because her potassium level was extremely low due to dehydration. But they feel confident that this will happen again so now they are talking about putting in a pacemaker. But a doctor at OSU told me once she wouldn't be a candidate because you have to be 5 years out of a transplant. I guess we'll find out tomorrow. It's always 1 step forward 2 back. It's just never stops.

I can't even begin to imagine what you are going through.
We are here for you.
Thoughts and prayers for you and your family.
