Is Willett a sought after bourbon in other parts of the country? It was not available here until recently. People wanted it here because we couldn't get it. Just curious.

The pot still has always been readily available here so it sits a lot. Some of their ryes are pretty sought after.
Baby momma got me this for our 27th anniversary. I really am a trophy husband.

I really didn't get her anything. We went to Tampa for the weekend and went to a hockey game and the casino.

My second night drinking Angel's Envy. I find it to have more of a bite than most Bourbons I've had. It may grow on me but it's taking some getting used to.

I went back to the place that has the Blantons deal occasionally when they have it in stock. You buy Blantons or another premium Buffalo trace product and they force you to buy a $20 worth of cheaper Buffalo trace product together to get the $75 Blantons price. So I got the Eagle rare combined with the benchmark old #8. I didn’t overthink it too much. The guy behind the counter said the benchmark was the same as the green label buffalo trace only it was it was aged four years instead of six. maybe it won’t suck. the Glenlivet 12 double oak is in my opinion a decent every day scotch. I got 1 full Liter for $66.99 before tax.

Mash bills are the same for a lot of their products. What makes them so different is the combination of different yeast strains and varying aging times. Most of the stuff on the bottom shelf is made by a label on the top shelf. With a company like Buffalo Trace that likes to allocate so many things, a lot of the lower tiered stuff is simply runoff after they’ve filled their bottling quota of the primary label.
I didn’t even notice this sticker until I was putting it away. I suppose the store owner and friends had some fun touring the distillery and drinking from a particular barrel and all that jazz. You younger kids might not recognize that phrase “all that jazz”. Look it up. While you’re at it you should look up “razzle dazzle” because I think I could have used either antique phrase to make the same point.

Happy anniversary. I sure hope you got her something nice since she’s put up with you for this long. 😎😎
A good cigar and whiskey solve most problems.

I have a feeling you've fallen into a trap. Keep an eye over your shoulder.

Is $50 a good price on eagle rare?
I'd pay it.
I saw $40-45 in Jackson TN a couple years ago.
