Hey @jgibv does that happen while using a streaming service like iheartradio? I seem to recall this happening to me before -- can you try rebooting to see if it clears?

yep happens with the music player app and also with pandora & slacker app.
i've tried resetting, updating the software, etc and problem is still occurring. mildly annoying, that's for sure.
Thanks for the updated forum. I'm sure after all the adjustments are done it will be just a matter of time getting used to everything again.
I do not like it. Too busy, to the point of getting lost. Sometimes it's best to leave well enough alone. This change has me looking at other cigar forums instead. Keep it simple and minimal! Just get overwhelmed looking at it. I must be getting old.

-- i downloaded the chrome browser for my iphone and encountered the same problem with that app as well. which leads me to believe it's *not* a browser issue.
-- i then tried to replicate the problem with other websites running this same forum software. (i tried the first five sites here: https://vanillaforums.com/showcase). and for all of these other sites, my music continued playing just fine, as i navigated through the sites.
-- this leads me to believe the problem is unique to this forum. maybe an issue with the source code or something? like not allowing background audio or what not? i'm not smart enough to know what to look for in the code or else i'd offer suggestions.
HOPEFULLY@krebsie; or some other computer person at CCOM can look into it and get it resolved. because it's kind of a pain in the rear to have my music stop whenever i load a new forum page.

I like the ease of not having to remember codes for paragraphs and attaching files. I might have come back on after Mobil was fixed a bit but it's much easier for me
Gotta say I'm pretty disappointed in CCOM & the folks who are in charge of this forum today. I
haven't expected fixes to come quickly to the forum.....because I
imagine it's not a top priority and/or much of a money maker for
CCOM.....
But I was a little flabbergasted when I logged in today and saw the in-line banner ads. -------------------------------------------------------------- How
long have the "regulars" been discussing the bugs, asking for fixes,
and even trying to resolve the bugs on our own on here .... it'll be a
year in May since they launched the new layout.
I get it, CCOM's a business, this forum isn't a money maker.....
But what about that customer service you CCOM folks have been so good about in the past? Do the forum users not deserve an acceptable level of service as well? -------------------------------------------------------------- The users have been finding "bugs", and trying to make suggestions that would improve the user experience.
We try to bring them to the attention of the CCOM folks, and what do we get in return? - A simple reply from one of the mods/admins saying "noted, we'll look into it"? No.
- Solutions/fixes to the problems? Rarely.
Instead, we get some embedded ads on the forum.
You all had enough time to implement those but don't
even acknowledge most of the issues we've pointed out (and tried to tag the admins) in this and other treads? Wow. --------------------------------------------------------------

really enjoyed my time here, glad I can call you guys my friends, and y'all really are an awesome group of BOTLs but
this is the straw that broke the camel's back.
The
software bugs and lack of response to them have been annoying but we've suffered through it.
Frankly, I'm p!ssed that we've put up with the bugs for so long, have barely received any
type of response, but instead we get banner ads (just one more thing to scroll through, as if navigating the new layout wasn't tedious enough).

@jgibvwouldn't be the big Rocky Patel banner ad in the middle of the forum that set you off would it John, lol? I don't post much but I do read a lot and I understand that ccom is a business but I don't need an add from ccom pushing another AJ stick. Just saw one pushing the Cohiba red dot, and what do us loyal ccom botl get, we get to pay $19.10/ea. Lol, yeah right.
This is supposed to be a discussion forum not an advertising forum. But the "Big Bosses" get involved and eventually you get Banner Ads. Every a$$ hole Big Boss makes stupid F'n decisions and push it down the throat of mddle management. I say if CCOM pushes adds then we open up dicussions of other off sites deals.
I understand everyone's complaints, but I'll just reiterate why I'm here and have stayed for years. This place is full of some of the best people in the world and the forum layout, ads, etc are irrelevant compared to that. I really hope the small things don't continue to take away some of those great people from us.
Was undecided. Now A definite hell no. May be one of the worst I have frequented as far as knowing who is saying what and when. I've ran forums in the past, and really, most of the requested fixes are a matter of a simple push button or switch to turn on or off functions. Lazyness is all I can say. It's the main reason why I never come on here anymore. Yes good folk here, great comrades, but now it's like trying to see through mud. I used to tell newbies to come here, now , elsewhere. And gibby....tell us what you really feel !!!

Ad block plus extension on google chrome fixes the ads part. I mainly use it on youtube but it comes in handy on other sites.
whether or not it was fixed by CCOM or the most recent iOS update it's much better now.
