A local buddy gave me some Carolina Reapers on Sunday. I put three of the medium one is a burrito, thinking "hey, I've done it with 3 habaneros". What a mistake... had to throw have the burrito out. These things are hotter than a habanero, and hotter than the chocolate marugas too.

Yeah the reapers are the record holder for now but...next year if I can get the true strain seeds it will be the chocolate bhutlah which is suppose to be nastier! But your nuts for just putting it on eggs man! I tried some on pizza and had instant hiccups. Nothing really helps the pain but the rush you get is pretty great. Thanks for trying the challenge and hopefully you've learned a lesson
Well, it's been an hour since the video was shot, and I'm close to recovering. I invented a new cocktail this evening- brandy and cream soda (very good! and paired well w/ my Inferno) - so while my inhibitions were still low, it seemed like as good a time as any to get this over with.
Eating it wasn't all that bad, similar in effect to a habanero; they burn real bad, but the effect is much shorter-lived than some peppers. It was having this fire-bomb churning in my stomach that was actually the most discomforting. We'll find out if that was the worst, or if the worst is yet to come tomorrow, if you know what I mean.
