I know you where just in the Charleston area, have you been to the Emerald Isle area of NC? That’s where we plan to retire to someday

Crazy pricing, so we will see if this bubble pops then try again.
We have a family place in NC by lake lure, lovely but isolated.

DM that location ain’t cheap. I’d want to keep things at about 350k, Kona seems to be looking better and better. Some spots in Florida are also interesting. I want to fish, dive and smoke a cigar in retirement. Cuba would be perfect and in fact we may just stay here and go down for a month or two at a time.

The NC coast as DM said is beautiful. Look towards the east coast mainland (the Inner Banks) for better deals than the Outer Banks. Any kind of fishing or diving means a boat trip and most of the docks are going to be opposite the ocean on the islands or on the opposite side of one of the sounds or rivers. Not as warm as FL, but definitely cheaper and less traffic !

Working on that part. But it is plenty warm enough here for me...I can always take a trip to FL and visit family if it gets too cold...
