Want to smoke a cigar but the ac is on and the windows are all closed. A pipe will have to do.

No, but my wife did. I thought he was cool. Only a matter of time until the dog gets him

I had the dequervains last year, the shot cleared it up nicely in a few weeks, which I was glad of because I didn't want another surgery. I also wore a brace on that wrist for a while. Just a soft brace seemed to do the job pretty well during the day, but I wore the ****-up splint at night. When it starts popping or clicking now I know that it's time to ease off and let it rest. I thought I'd screwed up the carpal tunnel again.

Only an old man would say that

I'm getting my tires changed. Busy shop so I walked over to IHOP for lunch. I should have brought some tobacco with me for the wait.

I had the BLT with Hash Browns off their value menu, $6 for most, $7 for us Bay Area folk. I didn't think they have hot dogs.

You could get the pork sausage links and roll them in a pancake to get close.

Must be great being that close to the water, at least in the summertime.

Yesterday, I went and bought some flowers and some hot peppers. Today, I spent an hour prepping the soil and planting everything. It took less than an hour and a half, but all that bending, getting on and off my knees, etc, in the sun just about did me in.

Some years ago, I heard about letting a hose trickle under a tree for a few hours. I took that idea a step further with a couple of 6gal. buckets that I drilled 6 holes, 1/4" each, around the bottom of them. I place them about 3' apart, at the drip lines of the branches - they say the ends of the roots is a good place to water a tree - who knows? I fill up the first bucket, and when it's full, the hose gets switched to the 2nd bucket, and it fills while the first one drains out. The buckets get leap-frogged around the tree, maybe a dozen fills/drains. I read a paper that gave a ratio of the overall width of the tree and the number of gallons of water.
