    Yes, pipe tobacco is "cased" to bring it to a desired moisture level and "topped" with ingredients to add flavor. Some, typically over-the-counter, pipe tobacco includes propylene glycol to maintain moisture and prevent the blend from drying out.

    Agree, I don't like pg'd pipe tobacco. It is also the carrier in most aromatics.
