Another Even Dumber Contest

peter4jcpeter4jc Posts: 16,674 ✭✭✭✭✭

Last Tuesday I was in front of my house in the late afternoon. The temp was in the mid-60's and the wind was calm, very nice, but odd for a Nov. 9th. It was magically hypnotic, so I snapped this photo looking down my block to keep a memory. (my neighbor, bending over, had nothing to do with it, you pervert).

So the red oak which I planted in '04 has had six days since then to drop some leaves. Tell me the date and time which the last leaf falls and win a prize.

To clarify a bit, the Ides of December is the 13th and civil twilight on December 13th 2021 is 4:14 PM. I should have guessed the pridie Kalendas Ianuarias, "day before the Januarian Kalends" which is the last day of December, but I'll leave that one for someone else.

December 7th. You'll wake up to find the branches naked.

Now this is not the end of the cigar. It is not even the beginning of the end of the cigar. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning of the cigar.
