I could be napping and despite the fact that I should be catching up on sleep that I missed last night getting lost finding the place and helping Patrick find it, I am instead enjoying the rural setting. I can literally hear a babbling brook. I brought hummingbird feeders and got a female ruby to come by and investigate them this morning.
Watched a lone female turkey stroll down out of the woods into the pasture and take a dust bath. Too far off plus a fence blocking the view to get a pic of her kicking up the dust but here she is making her way over to the site.
The turkey next circled around back of the house and I got a pic of her in the pasture and also of herf dog Diva resting in the foreground. She’s a Great Pyrenees.
Ever notice how turkeys never seem to suffer from gender dysphoria? I'm betting she isn't offended at all by Bob's referring to her as "she".
How come so many people aren't as smart as turkeys?
