Just let me adult kids smell some drying cherry pipe tobacco. They said it smells like playdough and they are correct. Ruined for me now

I've heard that description on other forums.

Found some butter pecan extract that's just ethyl alcohol and flavoring. Hopefully this'll work well. Now what do I do with the 190 proof everclear I ordered?

When the draw hole at the bottom of a pipes bowl gets to where just plain dry pipe cleaner doesn't seem to be getting it clean, dip the pipe cleaner, or a bristle brush, into the grain alcohol and clean away.

    Works for me.

Then the pipe needs to sit for a few days, which justifies needing more pipes. Problem solved.

Anybody here smoked straight Rustica before? Going to try KBV Night Mare this weekend. Supposed to have some rustica in it. I found a site that sells Rustica ready to shred and smoke. Might be an interesting ingredient to add to blends for more vitamin N.

I tried Mac Baren HH Rustica Flake straight, it wasn't my thing, very rough and strong. It probably would be good used for blending, like you said.

I’m the opposite. I really enjoy the Mac Baren HH rustica. It can be a little rough at first but the edges smooth out after some time. But it is definitely strong in the vitamin N dept.

I notice that I'm not getting the flavors from the tobacco today as I did yesterday. Yesterday I hadn't had a cigar for a couple days. Had one late last night. Interesting. Causation or correlation? Coincidence? Using my other work pipe today but that shouldn't have such an impact, should it?

Sometimes I don't get the flavor I expect from a pipe, it seems more fickle than cigars, I'm never sure if it's the pipe, my technique, the weather, or my palate.

The Gentleman at Pfeifen Huber in Munich where I get wunderlust cigars told me that if he lived in the Southern USA where humidity is high, he wouldn't bother smoking a pipe. He said high humidity not only makes it difficult to keep lit, but steals the flavor. Just a thought
