I have mostly been smoking my pipe at work and I usually just take 1 blend with me but if I smoke my pipe at home it's usually something else.

Usually don't smoke more than two bowls in a row of the same mix.

Weekdays I smoke only one bowl per day. Same blend for a couple of days, try to switch out different types of pipes and dryness ( Still trying to figure things out )
Weekends I have more time so I get to have multiple bowls of different blends a day.......Add to that, a cigar a day.......I wonder what snuff is like......

Still working on the Yale mixture. Not sure what this bump is on the bottom of the Chacom but I think I can drill a hole in the ashtray to set it in without bothering the domestic help

So, I had quit pipe smoking a while back and didn't pick it back up until 2023. A few times since then I had been trying to remember what the catalyst was that had me put it down. I still smoked a bowl every Christmas morning since 2007 when I first started but for the life of me I could not remember why I stopped regular smoking.
Tonight, as I lit this bowl of Stockton, it occurred to me. In 2011, Ro and I were living in Virginia and finally had the money to have a proper wedding. So we did, in New Mexico, and it was grand! During that time we asked a friend to house sit for us as she needed a temporary place to stay and we weren't using it for a few weeks anyway. When we came home, one of my pipes was missing. A Peterson Rocky Donegal poker. I only had two pipes, that one, and a Dunhill I only smoke Christmas mornings. I believe, instead of just getting another pipe, my laziness got the better of me and I just quit altogether. With the exception of Christmas mornings. That's all. Cheers!

I need to pay more attention to where I'm holding the flame. Burned away some of the rim.

The Clipper long neck lighters help me keep the flame in the bowl and away from the rim, and they're cheap and refillable. Bic makes long neck lighters too.

These work too. They are refillable. However, the flame is not adjustable.
