I think he is circling back, sort of a coda; he is going back to the first mention of Cotes du Rhone, but shortening and familiarizing it. The wine is from a fantastic French wine region. And I am guessing a white varietal specifically, as he mentions it being cold. I have not had any of the white, I have however had a couple of the table reds, and they are delicious.
