Yakster said:My view from work yesterday, Frazier Peak above Milpitas at a communication site next to where they launch hang gliders. Didn't get a picture from Morgan Hill today, another scenic site. You can see the Alviso salt ponds in the background, the southern most reach of the Bay. The area is known as Monument Peak.Logistics cannot win a war, but its absence or inadequacy can cause defeat. I actually run a side business offering railroad DVDs. This one's from a photo charter I participated in last February on the Reading & Northern Railroad. Missing the snow already...“Happiness? I reckon it's an acquired taste, my friend! Being that I'm...erm...naturally insulated I have always went by the notion that you can easily add more layers in winter, but at some point the cops are showing up when this guy struts his birthday suit in August!“Happiness? A good cigar, a good meal, a good cigar and a good woman – or a bad woman; it depends on how much happiness you can handle.” – George Burns3

I went to high school in Kodiak. I still haven't acquired a taste for snow.
It probably doesn't help that my job is to keep snow removal equipment running.
I probably should have thought that one out better. In Fumo Pax

Water plug in the railyard of the narrow-gauge East Broad Top Railroad in Huntingdon County, PA. It was used up until 2011 when the line shut down. The owner is currently looking for a buyer. Smithsonian Institute has listed this as the most complete example of a turn-of-the-century railroad, with all the buildings still fully equipped to build/service locomotives and equipment. Anybody wanna buy 30 miles of railroad with 6 original steam locos?

One of 6 steam locomotives within the East Broad Top roundhouse at Rockhill Furnace, PA. They have lain dormant since the railroad closed in 2011...waiting for a new owner to come and resurrect them.“Happiness?
