Yup Mikey, I promised wifey years ago when I started smoking seegars again that I would quit again at 60. Now I'm pushing 62 and still smoking it's time to give them up. Plus I just don't have any spare money to buy them anymore since I retired.0 -

Oh, better pushing 62 than pushing daisyies but you know you look up one day and you're just not 62 anymore.cigarbreath said:

FB I'm not quitting but just not obsessed anymore. Still enjoying my Cubans, but not buying any other cigars. No point in forcing.0

Been smoking off and on since college. Sometimes more sometimes less. Quantity and quality often based on finances. Probably hold up my own funeral for a last smoke. Naturally things really picked up after joining the banter. Been downhill ever since.Oyam123 said:FB I'm not quitting but just not obsessed anymore. Wife was not into baseball so we took the dog for a walk around the lake. Baseball has fallen into the same category as cigars for me.....less interestedcigarbreath said:

Nothing against the twins but really enjoyed the fireworks. Nice displays just off the ballpark and a large number of them too.Oyam123 said:

Still have to say the best fireworks I've personally seen are the Labor Day display down on the Ohio River in downtown Cincinnati. 250,000 on the Ohio banks of the river and 250,000 on the Kentucky side with the fireworks being launch from barges on the river in between. Also use one of the bridges. One of the innovators using computers and setting it to pop music. The Rossi family does a bang up job every year. Pun intended. World class and a top 10 must see summer event nationwide. Riverfest!

Growing up on Miami Beach the fireworks off a barge in the ocean was great. Sit on the sand and enjoy.0

Lived in Santa Monica CA for a couple years growing up. Walked down to the Pacific Palisades and watched the fireworks were setting off up and down the beach at eye level. Lived nine blocks from the beach at 503 9th Street. Two blocks over and nine blocks down from the Santa Monica Municiple pier. Yep, the one with the even then old timey merry-go-round. Used to ride our bikes down to the pier on Saturday to fish off the pier.Oyam123 said:Growing up on Miami Beach the fireworks off a barge in the ocean was great.
