I sometimes get watching westerns and wondered what other movies other people liked.
What's your favorite westerns?
I like Silverado and Tombstone for newer ones, but would have to go with Outlaw Jose Wales, WInchester 73 or Rio Bravo.

Quigley down under is good although it's not set in what I would call the traditional west.
Also pretty much any movie adaptation of a Louis L'amour book. I'm partial to the Sacketts with Tom Selleck and Sam Elliott2 -
Blazing Saddles

Any Clint or John Wayne will do it, was watching a JW the other night and noticed the backdrop was the mountains out in the backyard.
Of course Lonesome Dove...“I won’t say I did and I won’t say I didn’t, but I will say that a man who wouldn’t cheat for a poke don’t want one bad enough.”A little dirt never hurt0 -

I stayed at a Best Western once...good timeCigars were made to be smoked, whiskey was made to be drank and women were made to be loved. The only thing I try to age is myself.3

When I read the title of the thread, my first thoughts were Little Big Man and Tombstone, then I read all the stuff above, and now I see that there are just too many films crowding the top of that list.WARNING: The above post may contain thoughts or ideas known to the State of Caliphornia to cause seething rage, confusion, distemper, nausea, perspiration, sphincter release, or cranial implosion to persons who implicitly trust only one news source, or find themselves at either the left or right political extreme.
