Rancho Real Torp fired up. Yeah, I never heard of them either. Gifted by nephew Rob who picked them up in the DR while on vacation. He is not a BOTL. Rough looking cigar, easy draw, but not much smoke. Some cedar, trying to smoke through the first third. Might be ready for the canal shortly.

Good evening everyone! Mac Cafe HP with a RRG&C. 75th Anniversary of the D-Day landings. Dad and Uncle Mickey both there, 2nd wave at Omaha, which is probably why they survived Uncles Charlie (the "C" in KC) and Steve in the Navy in the Pacific. They were truly "The Greatest Generation".

Even today, in my mind's eye, going back to the mid 50's, I can see the four photos on top of Grandma and Grandpa Kasper's piano. Their 4 oldest boys in uniform, taken right before they all went overseas. The Armed Services took the photos and sent them to parents in the event their boys didn't come back. Dad and Uncle Mickey in their Army uniforms on the left, and Uncle Charlie and Uncle Steve in their Navy Blues on the right.

Totally different world today KC, and I’m not sure it’s for the better.2

My Dad was in the Navy in the Pacific as well. He was a Seabee and they island hopped putting in bases behind the Marines.0

Been rehabbing from thumb surgery and both sons were/are relocating. Never been so frustrated and aggravated recovering from surgery. Like wearing a sock on one hand and hitting the other thumb with a hammer - the one doing all the thumb work needs surgical correction too.0
