Ccom promotions?

A friend sent me this screenshot today.
Only problem is, they didn't include a URL and aren't available right now.

Anyone seen this and where do you sign up?

Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy cigars and that's close enough.

    Not sure if it made regular news or not, but in August, Facebook and Instagram completely changed their rules and regulations regarding tobacco. It's getting so bad, even Reddit and WeMe are cracking down on things as well.

    We're basically not allowed to post anything that directly encourages the selling of cigars (i.e. no URL), we can't post values of promotions, & we have tread lightly on how we discuss cigars in those arenas because no one who has a cigar business wants to be kicked off social media. Once again this is due to BS government intervention where the FDA is really targeting cigarettes, but they can't simply alienate one type of tobacco product for fear of further backlash from other sources.

    I don’t use Facebook either, but the value of the promotion to the company is from people sharing it and doing their advertising for them. If they don’t discover new customers then the “promotion” doesn’t “promote” and isn’t worth the discount. It sucks but that’s their point of view most likely.

    Has anyone in here ever won the monthly sweepstakes thing? 🤣

    @TheCigarChick
    That would be awesome to have a forum contest.
    Thanks for at least checking.
    We do appreciate that someone is being active in having these discussions.

    Yep. We must test this first. So let's give it to someone who has absolutely no idea what it's about or how to use it.
    Cause that will never fail.

    And when they say it won't work, we can be assured that we have taken every step to make sure.
    As for the customers, they aren't the ones paying the bill, so we won't worry about them. We'll only lose a couple customers.

    Actually, @0patience, the people involved are different than you think. Basically direction + revisions to ideas are controlled mostly by myself, and then I get to deal with a Design team, as well as Marketing and IT. They don't make anything up without direction from the appropriate party, which is good.

    When it comes to the idea of doing a Forum contest it shouldn't be a test issue, just more of how frequently to do it, who provides the goods, etc.; the things which will require the testing involve modifications to the website as well as the Forum. I can say with confidence that soon you'll be able to experience a newer, more improved CCOM site, as well as a beautiful re-design of COMC!

    Sorry, I was being sarcastic, based on what I deal with at work.
    They have committees to have committees to have testing, to see if something will work. The whole time, never talking to the operators, who will use it, nor the techs who repair it.
    Then they wonder why there are problems. 😲🤣

    My cynicism knows no bounds. 🤣🤣

    @TheCigarChick...

    What does Ccom perceive as the benefit(s) of this forum? There has to be some cost to administrate as well as some headaches involved with hosting this forum, so what do they get out of it?

    I told an engineer we needed to move into the 21st century and he asked why would we try and be 80 years more advanced than the rest of the world.

    Ummm.
    Did someone dress you this morning and is your degree in crayon, by chance?

    And the forum solidifies customer loyalty. I always check ccom first when looking for something cigar-related.
