Series JJ, from summer '15, or thereabouts. The reason I remember that is because it was purchased to take part in one of our group reviews. A small number of us (I think Brad, @avengethis was one of the instigators) would discuss, and then agree on, which stick to review. That happened a month before a given review so we all had a chance to purchase a few of the sticks, then we'd smoke them and offer up our review in a thread started for that month's stick. It was designed to hone our mad review skillz, and also to offer assistance to the members at large in their procurement of worthwhile cigars. Looking back, I see it as humorous hubris and overreach, but it was fun and it scored me a box of these JJ's.
I am not a super-taster nor a good reviewer. I don't have a lot of history with high-end cigars, however I can't imagine that ageing this smoke could possibly improve it. It was superb.
Had this today as we said goodbye to an old friend. His widow handed out what was left of his cigars to us as his ashes were shot out of a canon during a reenactment.

I saw my really dull cutter sitting there and I thought to myself, it'll be okay I'll just be careful. I split that freaking rapper right off the thing. Used about a half a tube of chapstick trying to fix it but it was hopeless. Now there it sits on my front porch
And it's time to grab another stick. This la herencia is a really underrated smoke. Boxpress Perfecto's are the ugliest cigars on the market, but it tastes good!
