I reproduced your issue on my work iPhone, so I guess the ungroomed Giphy.com image link doesn't play nice with Apple iOS devices. That's too bad since it worked so well on my PC and Android phone.
You can click on the untitled images to view them in a new tab, but it shouldn't have to be like that.
Instead of right-clicking on a Giphy.com image and using copy image link, click on the "copy link" icon next to the image and copy the "GIF Link" and it should work for all.
