Been seeing a lot of lanceros smoked lately and it inspired me to go digging. Found some great ones I forgot I had. Time to smoke a wizard wand.*Just checking my inventory list and I suspect these are from 2011 as all my other Air Benders and Daaayymmmm it's still strong as heck. Almost too strong. The potency is off the charts still. It's very good but I prefer the regular size vitolas as they are more balanced and harmonious. The retrohale is like fire. Smaller puffs make it enjoyable but sheesh. You can feel it in your gut to be sure. Firecracker even after all this time.
**Second half has smoothed out considerably. Still full, but better balance to be sure.
Double 0, dig ya. Hat crooK.

Last of my sampler courtesy of Hiland's Cigars. Really enjoyed the other two (New World Cameroon and Broadleaf) and read some good things about this one as well.
*This one is definitely my least favorite of the three. I'm pretty sure it's the Mexican San Andrés binder that is giving off the flavor of dirt. I don't particularly care for Mexican San Andrés tobacco as I find the earth note to be more dry dirt flavor, rather than a fresh soil flavor or mineraly essence. Earth is also probably my least favorite flavor profile and I'm typically resistant to purchasing blends where it is the predominant flavor. Though I don't mind the fresh soil and mineral essence when blended well. The dirt flavor is preventing this blend from shining.
I'm getting some other great flavors but they are muddled by the dirt which is omnipresent. I'll be grabbing some of these in the Habano version which is more in my wheelhouse. That is not to say that this is a bad cigar, it's got great things going on, just not something I would purchase.

Found this Dominico churchill ‘by Torano way down deep in my humidor and the cello was brown, not just yellow, so I decided it was time.
I’d have to say they age very well.... 👍👍
