Try Tiger Balm, has about ten times the active ingredients of Icy/Hot type ointments. If you get desperate put a heat pad on afterwards...not for the faint of heart but effective

Have double teamed with DSMO first , short while later Tiger Balm

When people don't put a period at the end of the sentence while texting. My brother always ends his texts with what could be considered in the middle of a sentence.

I read once that the youngsters consider it harsh to end a text with a period. I just consider it good grammar. But I must admit here lately I don't concern myself if it's the last sentence of my text. I still must separate multiple sentences with a period but if I'm at the end and I hit the space bar a few times and I don't get that period to appear, I am not wasting time on it, I just hit send.

Speaking of grammar, I have noticed in news coverage of trials that they never seem to say the defendant "pled guilty". I hear them say the defendant "pleaded guilty" often. Has there been a change in preferred usage over time? To me pleaded sounds wrong. Also, maybe they do say pled but I don't notice because I would only take notice it if it seems odd.

They are both correct. Pleaded is just considered more formal.

Right, and I am not opposed to that, but in the scenario I mentioned I have already ignored that opportunity and I am too lazy to go back.

I hate it when the weather forecasters use words like "Historic", or "Catastrophic".

Yes, make sure that your extra payments go to the principle to pay down the loan early.

My dad was in real estate and helped find this house. After we closed, Dad gave me a print-out that showed each month in the 15-year mortgage (why are there two G's in mortgage anyway?). The first year's payments were skewed, something like $50 for principal and $700 for interest. Pops encouraged me to plop down extra $$$ when I could. If I could just double the $750 payment once in the first year, it would essentially knock off more than a year from the length of the mortgage. Pre-paying is always a winning strategy, but the earlier in the morgage, the better.

The interest is based on a percentage of the principal. Even if your percentage is fixed, the quicker you lower the principal the lower the number will be that the percentage equals. Before making extra payments, call your mortgage broker and make sure the payment goes to principal.
