Too damn hot, in February, when Mom's expiry date comes around I'm thinking a little farther north may be in order

Above 3500 ft here in the NC mountains the forecast is many inches of snow. The ridge above my studio is 3700. Back to winter.

Hauled in some wood and charged up the batteries for the likely power outage. Looking forward to getting snowed in and the snow shoveling. There is something peaceful to the halt of noise and daily frenzy.

Received a robocall from Eversource stating that in the event of a power outage it will take 3 to 5 days to restore service. I don't envy the work crews.

Been snowing about 12 hours. Got a foot so far from the looks of it. Hard to tell with the high winds. Bare in spots, 16" in some. The plow truck they put me in has almost bald tires on the rear. Smh.

We got 3", and it's 37-38 degrees. It'll be gone in a day or two. I don't plan on clearing the driveway.

Got done a little early. Only got the truck stuck three times, needing someone to come drag me out. I will NEVER plow with bald tires again.

Finally figured out how to log into the forum on my phone. :p
Day two of no power. Several trees down, almost 2' of feet of the white stuff and temps dropping down to 17 tonight. Turned off the water in the main house and pottery. Whoever decided that small wall mounted propane heaters shouldn't ruwork without electricity? The water heater doesn't need to be plugged in.
