Great shot, you have an interesting back yard. I don't think we have bobcats on the Cape.

I don’t see them very often. They’re usually very skittish. I think I woke this one up. She was around 100ft and I could hear her growling long before I saw her.

If it don’t bother me, it don’t bother me. Just leave me alone.

Great photo Rusty. It's amazing you even saw it at a distance, it's very well camouflaged.

Looks like our bear population is growing, momma and cub. Found these at a creek access point, when we took the kids for a ride today.

I heard her first. If she wasn’t growling I probably would have never seen her until she moved.

They’re becoming a real problem here. We have a small population of our own, but the last few years we’ve been getting them from relocations. All those videos of problem bears in the videos from the Gatlinburg area are bears that are being relocated to here since we’re the next closest national
forest. So now we’ve got a bunch of bears that are comfortable being around people and see them as a food source.

All things being equal, wildlife has a human problem.

Yeah I agree wholeheartedly. It’s the human element that has caused the issue to begin with.

A black bear killed a camper, in Arkansas, a few months ago. We've always had bears here, saw my first tracks 60+ years ago, back when the Conservation Deptment swore there were no bears in Missouri.
