Getting ready to tear out the old squirrel ruined insulation up stairs in my studio. I have a friend coming over to help out this old man with this dirty job. Twenty odd years of squirrel s h i t snake skins and trashed out insulation. Masks, gloves, coveralls etc. I've got hardware cloth to plug the holes where the critters are getting in, Had to buy a hammer tacker as my old one is an off brand that takes staples that are not being sold any more. You know you are old when you outlive your tools. I have to move an extension ladder inside to reach the peak over the stairs. Should be able to do it in one day. The story will continue.

same here, I have ripped out half the ceiling and the mouse-infested fiberglass insulation in the cellar, nasty job. The other half will have to wait until my wrist heals. You have my sympathy Rodger.

I heard loud, rattling, chattering bugle sounds, so I looked out my front window and saw these weird birds. They were already past my house so I had to crane my neck to get this photo. It's weird to see some 3' birds walking down my sidewalk.

Slept in late. Smoked a Johnny Tobacconaut on the way to my work to do front pads on my truck. Smoked a cheapy on the way home. Ate lunch and now a nap. Good day.

Finished replacing the squirrel infested insulation up stairs in my studio. Hauled out nine 50 gal drum liners of insulation fouled with squirrel s h i t. Had to bring an extension ladder to reach the area over the stairs. Had some needed help from a young woodworker i have been mentoring for years now. This whole move, the new roof, new insulation is focused on making the building warm enough for me to work in the winter. Now i am exploring heat pumps. Might get rid of my ceiling hung propane radiant heater. Seems like you can fix most any problem if you throw enough money at it.

Started feeling off while smoking Cabbie's Mixture in my pipe, either low blood sugar or Nic sick or both, so I rustled up some cheese, crackers, and salami, chocolate covered dried orange slices, and some apple slices and I'm feeling better.

Taught my daughter how to play 🎯 tonight. Very first game was way closer than I’d like 😂 yet still proud.

Nicked the index finger on my good hand with a chainsaw, lol, should have been wearing gloves I guess. Butterfly bandaged so the wound is closed up. Lots of blood made it somewhat dramatic.

and just got the news that our title 5 leaching field has failed. Been quite a day but as they say 'it could have been worse'. Don't be an idiot like mouse, wear gloves when chainsawing and don't put off having the septic system serviced.

I once required several stitches while chain-sawing wearing shorts. I wasn't planning on using the saw that day, but they needed another sawer, and i volunteered. The chain was nearly stopped when the bar tapped a limb and bounced into my shin just below my knee. If I had been wearing jeans, it would probably not have gone through them.

I was once brazing a waveguide f.l.a.n.g.e (can't use the unpunctuated word on the forum) back on a feedhorn for a parabolic antenna on a tower and accidentally almost set fire to my safety belt that I was using to belt in to the tower. That would have been bad as I was using both my hands and leaning back to get a good position on the repair. The feedhorn was filled with pincer bugs so I had to empty them out and cover then other end to prevent this in the future.
