Herfcat was seen. Heart murmer and dental disease. Needs an ekg and have some teeth removed. Ekg to test the heart and determine the severity of the problem. Also, an ultrasound to check him for stones. Had blood drawn to test for infection. Poor kitty. He's an old boy now, about 13 or 14 I think. No more getting him excited playing fetch or chasing the laser light. He's breathing faster and panting at times. Not getting enough oxygen. Looking into the cost of the ultrasound and ekg. Hoping my credit cards dont get hit too much.

That's tough because of the age, when my previous dog got old and came down with a bunch of issues and they wanted to run a lot of tests. I ended up asking which tests would lead to fixing things and which one is so you can confirm what you already believe to be the issue. Opted to just do the ones that lead to a treatment. Tough calls though because none of the tests are cheap.
I don't have problems, just more work to do.

After about a month of evening work, (13) 60# bags of concrete mix, 8 gallons of trowel-on patching compound, 2 gallons of crack sealant, and (13) 5-gallon buckets of asphalt seal-coating, my 4,000 SF driveway coating project is 99% done. I need to go over it and coat some light spots. But not today. Today, I just want a beer. And a hip that doesn't hurt.

you're not going to drive on that without rinsing the truck's tires first are you?

from personal experience with a similar reminder to my wife i can confidently say that it may work for a short while. Habits die hard.

Sometime before the end of winter, maybe in March?, I hit a pothole, which pinched my front driver's side tire's sidewall, leaving it with a slight bulge. It hasn't driven any differently - no vibrations, leaks, or shakes - even with a 600lb load of coffee. But if that tire failed, especially in traffic or on the freeway, it could be catastrophic. And just because it hasn't failed yet, doesn't mean it won't fail the next time I'm driving.
225/40R/18's. The exact same tire that is on the car now. The sucky part about all this is that the current set of tires only has 10K miles on them. But they've worn enough in those 10K miles that I can't replace only the one tire: Subaru's AWD system gets confused and breaks if all four tires aren't the same diameter. Some people will buy just the one tire and take it in somewhere to have it shaved, but I felt that's too much fartin' around.
The next step is to call and make an appointment to get them mounted and balanced.
p.s. That's a milk chute, and the little turquoise thing is a cigar rest @dirtdude made for me. And also in the photo are my japalenos and cayennes.

fancy, we just had a galvanized box, in the winter the milk would freeze and the bottles would be topped with a column of milk and cream. we had to bring it in before the cats got it.

Peter did you buy the tires online then take them to an installer? Only ask as I recently bought tires from Discount Tire and the charge came up as tires.com who I had previously bought from and took to an installer

Yeah, that's how I'm working it too. I don't know when it happened, but from what I can gather Discount Tire took over Tire Rack.

Ok, I was trying to make sense of the charge from tires.com. and that explains it

My cars tires needed replacing so I went with Tire Rack, shipped and installed by America's Tire. I felt good getting new tires, then Kim got a flat tire and I had to buy another set. They were 9 years old so I guess it was about time. Got tires at Costco for her car because Tire Rack couldn't beat the price.
