Happy Star Trek day. The first episode aired on Sep 8th 1966. I didn't see it until '68 because we didn't have a TV. It came on at 9 p.m. where I lived then, 30 minutes past Mom's imposed bedtime on a school night, so the only times I got to see it was when my parents were out for the night. It seemed so high-tech and futuristic back then, and much more realistic than Lost in Space, which seemed highly improbably at best.
