The culture wars are destroying us on every front, emphasizing diversity over unity. United we stand, divided we fall. We used to hear this often. Now we hear "Our strength is in our diversity", which is true only if one recognizes that it's the unity of diverse elements that we derive our strength from. This emphasis is changing with the focus now being solely trained on our differences. If we can't overcome our diversity, we will fall.

When two sides cannot come to an agreement amicably you have a war.
