I would be willing to wager most of the bathroom rape committed in this part of the world is committed by straight-identifying males that are more than likely white (statistics and whatnot). These pieces of legislation do not serve to protect bathroom-goers, but to discriminate against a minority group.4

What happened to common sense, decency and respect? I have a right to walk into a Yankee's bar in NY with my Red Sox regalia on but I probably wouldn't do that. That's common sense. If I got mouthy I would rightly get the crap beat out of me too. I would respect their house by being quiet, turning my shirt inside out or even buying a round. Be decent and respectful and you may make some new friends. For the record, haven't followed the Sox since '82, enough said.
When I was working corporate, would come up with a policy to make things more fair. Then we ended up with a policy that had to be applied to all and usually didn't change much, except more for me to deal with.2 -

I've had to think about this whole thing.
Sadly, as I could have easily gone through life without thinking about it.
On reflection, I guess that if Bruce Jenner, bedecked in women's garb and surgically implanted parts, etc., wants to "go", I'd just as soon he use the ladies room.

Sort of a chicken or the egg dilemma. It wasn't really an issue until our legislators made it one by introducing bills like the one in North Carolina. Been reading Target traffic has been reduced, in the stores not the bathrooms, and Walmart is up since they announced their bathroom thing. This is from parking lot studies, amounts of vehicles and such that they do. No sales figures yet. Been reading Bruce/Caitlin is going to be on the cover of Sports illustrated, gold medal and a flag covering the, whatever it has now. Ayuh, yuh, yuh, yuh.1
