The same old same old two entrenched lying establishment parties of by and for millionaires are a stale idea, at this point. As long as people adhere to this idiotic notion that you have to choose between just those two and no other, we will never have a better alternative. If Jill and Gary could score, say, 20% of the vote, then at least one of the two biggies might feel compelled to listen and reform. If not, why should they?

But this much I can prove to you mathematically without even pulling out the old pocket calculator:

    •                     Voting for the lesser of two evils guarantees evil.

    That's a fact.
“It has been a source of great pain to me to have met with so many among [my] opponents who had not the liberality to distinguish between political and social opposition; who transferred at once to the person, the hatred they bore to his political opinions.” —Thomas Jefferson (1808)

Does anybody remember Hillary Clinton being condemned for violent implications?

While Keith Olberman is too much for most anyone to bear. He outlines the details very quickly in this video so you don't have to watch very much.

(But do watch at least until 1:37 when, while in full rant mode, someone in the studio drops something with such a loud sound as to make Olberman flinch. He probably wondered if he was being shot at himself.)

Trump is a narcissistic megalomaniac and Clinton is a lying, corrupt Corporate puppet........Wow, the choices they offer us for the future of this country.
The establishment has rigged the system to guarantee the 2 party system continues. You can GUARANTEE that there is someone out there who would be an INCREDIBLE President who will never have the chance due to the fact that they aren't a multi-millionaire and that it is damn near impossible for any other party to be taken seriously in this current system. Every 4 years we get the same ol' same ol' just dressed up in a different package to make us THINK that things are going to change.........
And before anyone gets the wrong idea, I'm talking in generalities, not about a specific 3rd party.
    Long days and pleasant nights,

Absolutely correct. And it begs the question - How can an individual of sound mind possibly believe it's wise to vote for her??

Are we to believe that all of her supporters are NOT of sound mind? Inquiring minds want to know.....   :#

It's not a matter of sound minds. It's simply that the Left is convinced that their moral end justifies any immoral means. They believe they have a monopoly on good intentions. For them, it follows that, because they do mean well, they can and should do ill.

It's a paradox. Throughout history, we have seen how the very best motives, as soon as they are coupled with power, promptly produce the foulest outcomes. People convinced of exclusive virtue, once given sway, are the least likely people to act virtuously.

This is exactly how power corrupts.

Well, I can buy that - to a point. But when you consider that the Clintons have brought self-enrichment to the level of an art form how can either of them convince others that they're doing it to help anyone but themselves??

It reminds me of a time when Jimmy Hoffa was running the teamsters union. I once asked a friend of mine, who happened to be a teamster, how he, knowing full well that Hoffa was ripping off the union and, thereby, my friend as well, could continue to support Hoffa.

My friend was ready to kick my a ss for having blasphemed so badly.

I suppose its it's kinda the same with those blindly supporting the liberals.....   :#

Absolute power corrupts absolutely. That's what I believe has happened here, just my opinion though.

Less energy than you might think. But a lovely muggayirga really helps. And energy comes easy if one is passionate about something, too.

Yep, the coffee got here a day earlier than predicted. Many thanks for that. The jury's still out on the Burundi, however...   B)

Here's another interesting read that was sent to me by a friend:

Please take your time to read this interesting and current important article.

Written by the distinguished Bill Bennett about Donald Trump.

I think you will find it very interesting and alarming.

PHD - Secretary of Education under Ronald Reagan

Cultural studies at the distinguished and renown Heritage Foundation

    Interesting take on Trump.

William J. Bennett, Host of Bill Bennett's Morning in America Show, is one of America's most important, influential, and respected voices on cultural, political, and education issues.  He has one of the strongest Christian world views of any writer in modern times.

What I See Happening In a Trump Presidency

    By Bill Bennett

"They will kill him before they let him be president.  It could be a Republican or a Democrat that instigates the shutting up of Trump.

Don’t be surprised if Trump has an accident.  Some people are getting very nervous:  Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett, Eric Holder, Hillary Clinton and Jon Corzine, to name just a few.

It's about the unholy dynamics between big government, big business, and big media.  They all benefit by the billions of dollars from this partnership, and it's in all of their interests to protect one another. It's one for all and all for one.  It’s a heck of a filthy relationship that makes everyone filthy rich, everyone except the American people.  We get ripped off.  We’re the patsies.  But for once, the powerful socialist cabal and the corrupt crony capitalists are scared.  The over-the-top reaction to Trump by politicians of both parties, the media, and the biggest corporations of America has been so swift and insanely angry that it suggests they are all threatened and frightened

Donald Trump can self-fund.  No matter how much they say to the contrary, the media, business, and political elite understand that Trump is no joke.  He could actually win and upset their nice cozy apple cart.

It's no coincidence that everyone has gotten together to destroy The Donald.  It's because most of the other politicians are part of the a good old boys club.  They talk big, but they won’t change a thing.  They are all beholden to big-money donors.  They are all owned by lobbyists, unions, lawyers, gigantic environmental organizations, and multinational corporations – like Big Pharmacy or Big Oil.  Or they are owned lock, stock, and barrel by foreigners like George Soros owns Obama or foreign governments own Hillary and their Clinton Foundation donations.

These run-of-the-mill establishment politicians are all puppets owned by big money.  But there's one man who isn't beholden to anyone.  There's one man who doesn't need foreigners, or foreign governments, or George Soros, or the United Auto Workers, or the teacher's union, or the Service Employees International Union, or the Bar Association to fund his campaign.

Billionaire tycoon and maverick Donald Trump doesn’t need anyone’s help.  That means he doesn’t care what the media says.  He doesn’t care what the corporate elites think.  That makes him very dangerous to the entrenched interests.  That makes Trump a huge threat to those people.  Trump can ruin everything for the bribed politicians and their spoiled slave masters.

Don’t you ever wonder why the GOP has never tried to impeach Obama?  Don’t you wonder why John Boehner and Mitch McConnell talked a big game, but never actually try to stop Obama?  Don’t you wonder why Congress holds the purse strings, yet has never tried to de-fund Obamacare or Obama’s clearly illegal executive action on amnesty for illegal aliens?  Bizarre, right?  It defies logic, right?

First, I'd guess many key Republicans are being bribed.  Secondly, I believe many key Republicans are being blackmailed.  Whether they are having affairs, or secretly gay, or stealing taxpayer money, the National Security Agency knows everything.

Ask former House Speaker Dennis Hastert about that.  The government even knew he was withdrawing large sums of his own money from his own bank account.  The NSA, the SEC, the IRS, and all the other three-letter government agencies are watching every Republican political leader.  They surveil everything.  Thirdly, many Republicans are petrified of being called racists, so they are scared to ever criticize Obama or call out his crimes, let alone demand his impeachment.  Fourth , why rock the boat?  After defeat or retirement, if you’re a good old boy, you’ve got a $5 million-per-year lobbying job waiting.  The big-money interests have the system gamed.  Win or lose, they win.

But Trump doesn’t play by any of these rules.  Trump breaks up this nice, cozy relationship between big government, big media, and big business.  All the rules are out the window if Trump wins the Presidency.  The other politicians will protect Obama and his aides but not Trump.  Remember:  Trump is the guy who publicly questioned Obama's birth certificate.  He questioned Obama's college records and how a mediocre student got into an Ivy League university.  Now, he's doing something no Republican has the chutzpah to do.  He's questioning our relationship with Mexico; he's questioning why the border is wide open; he's questioning why no wall has been built across the border; he's questioning if allowing millions of illegal aliens into America is in our best interests; he's questioning why so many illegal aliens commit violent crimes, yet are not deported; and he's questioning why our trade deals with Mexico, Russia and China are so bad.

Trump has the audacity to ask out loud why American workers always get the short end of the stick.  Good question!  I'm certain Trump will question what happened to the almost billion dollars given in a rigged no-bid contract to college friends of Michelle Obama at foreign companies to build the defective Obamacare website.  By the way, that tab is now up to $5 billion.  Trump will ask if Obamacare's architects can be charged with fraud for selling it by lying.  Trump will investigate Obama's widespread IRS conspiracy, not to mention Obama's college records.  Trump will prosecute Clinton and Obama for fraud committed to cover up Benghazi before the election.  How about the fraud committed by employees of the Labor Department when they made up dramatic job numbers in the last jobs report before the 2012 election?

Part Two coming shortly. The entire article was too long for the forum to handle.

  • jlmartajlmarta Posts: 7,881 ✭✭✭✭✭
    Okay, here's Part Two:

Obama, the multinational corporations and the media need to stop Trump.  They recognize this could get out of control.  If left unchecked, telling the raw truth and asking questions everyone else is afraid to ask, Trump could wake a sleeping giant.  Trump's election would be a nightmare.  Obama has committed many crimes.  No one else but Trump would dare to prosecute.  He will not hesitate.  Once Trump gets in and gets a look at the cooked books and Obama's records, the game is over.  The goose is cooked.  Holder could wind up in prison.  Jarrett could wind up in prison.  Obama bundler Corzine could wind up in prison for losing $1.5 billion of customer money.  Clinton could wind up in jail for deleting 32,000 emails or for accepting bribes from foreign governments while Secretary of State, or for misplacing $6 billion as the head of the State Department, or for lying about Benghazi.  The entire upper level management of the IRS could wind up in prison.

Obamacare will be de-funded and dismantled.  Obama himself could wind up ruined, his legacy in tatters.  Trump will investigate.  Trump will prosecute.  Trump will go after everyone involved.  That’s why the dogs of hell have been unleashed on Donald Trump.

Yes, it's become open season on Donald Trump.  The left and the right are determined to attack his policies, harm his businesses, and, if possible, even keep him out of the coming debates.  But they can't silence him.  And they sure can't intimidate him.  The more they try, the more the public will realize that he's the one telling the truth".

I'd give my left nut to see the look on your faces when you realize that you have been had.  Trump has never been in it to win an election.  This has been nothing more than a marketing strategy to build his brand.  The only question is how are you going to justify his loss? Blame it on the media? Stupid naive Democrats? A rigged election?  Try a candidate who never intended on winning and took a segment of the population as fools.

Remember that just last year he was a strong supporter of Hillary.  Of course all this is possible because of the fear mongering engineered by the tea party over that last several years.

if what he was doing wasn't so selfish and destructive than I'd say it was funny that he was able to hoodwink so many people.

Here's a big point in my eyes where trump blames Obama for Isis.... That was your great leader bush who even invented them! **** trump and for all the bushes! Tell me all the good things anything the bush legacy made. Then tell me how hard bill and Obama had to bring back crap and crap! Sorry But history is history and mostly the republicans have screwed me one too many times. Maybe if they didn't pass all the blame on the next president which was a dem then maybe I'd believe the cool aide

Marty, you had me nodding my head until you brought in Bill Bennett, between him and Hillary is between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea.  Authoritarian Socialist vs. Authoritarian Authoritarian.  I respect your opinion, and have to agree on several points, even might rather have Trump than Hillary.

I'm sticking with Gary Johnson, though.  Dim-ocrats and Repugn-icans are not the only options.

I'm just trying to disseminate various bits of info that I think folks might find interesting. It's not necessarily that I'm pushing Trump but I'm definitely dissing Billary.

    Does that make sense?

I'm not thin-skinned in this respect, guys. If any of you would rather that I stop posting articles of this kind just speak up. I'll stop if you want me to. No big deal.

I find these articles interesting to read. I may not totally agree with all of them but at least I'll pass 'em along.....   B)

Hey Marty! I think the people who disagree with you will want you to stop, and those that agree will want you to continue! As long as everyone remains civil, I see no reason to stop?! Just my opinion though. This IS NCR, right? I tend to stay away from this anyway! Safer that way! @jlmarta

I appreciate that, and enjoy seeing various sides of an argument whether I agree or not.  I'll listen to Bennett, sometimes he's right, I formed pretty strong opinions about his versions of social manipulation a long time ago, though, just as I did with Hillary.  Both about as wrong, to me.  To his credit, he's nowhere near the liar she is.

I guess I'm funny when it comes to some of these guys.  I don't like Bennett, I do like Krauthammer, and I agree with them about the same amount of the time.  I don't like Hannity, I do like Beck, I can't stand Rachel Maddow, I do like Bill Maher.  Go figure.

At any rate, one of the biggest problems facing our nation is its citizens inability to appreciate any viewpoint other than their own and then taking offense at anything that can be tied-in to a particular point of view.

:'(  "Wah, wah!  Someone disagreed with me!  No fair!  They should be silenced!"

    What a bunch of weenies.

Oh, and I think @Echambers is on to something.  I proposed that scenario to my wife a few weeks back, Trump is just ensuring which side wins.  Maybe.

    Carry on, gentlemen.

Well, I've undoubtedly said it before, but I don't think Trump is the perfect candidate. I do think he's the best of what we're being offered.

With the memory of Harry Truman in the back of my mind, I do like Trump's brashness. I like the fact that he can't be bought. I like that he's supremely confident in himself. And I'm pleased that it appears he's found himself a new and better barber (or stylist, whichever).   :#

All of these are important traits, aren't they??   :p
