I like those. I just use regular paper cut in strips and secured with a little sticker and write on them. I've found that if I don't write the blend directly on it, I forget. I lost one amazing blend like that... Live and learn, right?

I plan on writing the blend # on the right side where there is no writing and the DOB on the left and going to keep a journal for the blends0

I can design you some if you want me to I did mine in black and white so that all I have to do is use a copier and that's cheap .10 cents per 16 bands and just keep one as a master copy0

Does the type of bunching ( Accordian,Book or Entubadao ) change the flavor?0
-
Not that I can tell. The most important issue about bunching is to have your filler blend the proper case or moisture content to insure a good draw. Filler needs to be dry enough to occasionally crack but not crumble. Binder needs to have a little more moisture for flex and the wrapper needs to be wet enough to stretch. I usually bunch entubadao but sometimes will fold accordion . I haven't had good luck with book bunching. The magic is in the downward compression of your fingers when you bunch.arch72 said:Does the type of bunching ( Accordian,Book or Entubadao ) change the flavor?
I write my blend on my bands and the date and glue the bands with a non toxic glue stick. I also keep a journal with blend, binder, wrapper, date, and amount rolled. The journal is also a good place to keep taste notes.
Ditto on the site @webmost mentioned for getting leaf.

Rolled up ten 54"s this AM. Corillo seco, Crillo viso and Piloto Cubano ligero wrapped on Habano. The pict shows how I bunch. I cut the leaves to size before I roll them into tubes. I find I have much less waste this way. The Dominican binder leaf is on the top. Ligero is rolled in the center and seco and viso are around the ligero. All the tips of the leaves are pointing to the right.

how do you store your leaf? @First_Warrior0
-
I store my leaf inside the plastic bag it comes in and that is stored in a cooler.I also store ready to roll binder and wrapper that need to be more humid inside a refrigerator in sealed bags where cooler temps prevent mold. I use crystal kitty litter inside a knee high panty hose to regulate humidity in the coolers.0
-
If your panty hose are only knee high, you need to pull them up the rest of the way so you don't trip when you try to walk. Believe me, I know from personal experience.First_Warrior said:I store my leaf inside the plastic bag it comes in and that is stored in a cooler.I also store ready to roll binder and wrapper that need to be more humid inside a refrigerator in sealed bags where cooler temps prevent mold. If they're only knee-high, what happened to the 'panty' part?

My problem would be the temp it gets HOT here. I know that high temp is no good for the cigars what about leaf?? And I too have knee high panty hose ONLY for kittylitter lol I am no Robin Williams lol0
-
If the leaf gets to hot and moist it can start the fermentation process. The result is a horrible taste. You also risk mould. A wine cooler might be a good investment. I haven't been able to find the pantys in panty hose. i must be getting old.1

Yeah I was thinking the same thing about the wine cooler. That will have to wiat then I just got a "wine cooler" for my cigars today0
