Re: Padilla - dark ash ?
jadelt:OK so I had my first Padilla Dominus a few weeks back and I liked it but noticed it had a dark almost black ash. Didnt think much of it. Today I am having a Padilla Artemis and same dark ash. Pretty good cigar but why the dark ash? I thought a white ash meant a better cigar? I am still kinda new here so educate me… -
Re: Whiskey Drinkers - what pairs well with it?
Yep, pretty much +1 to what everyone is saying here - a nice hearty habano with some spice is what I like with whiskey/bourbon. I usually stick with Woodford Reserve or something like that (about as pricey as I am able to go) and pair with a MOW, DPG original (blue) etc. I've never paired a Carlos Torano 1959 Silver (more… -

Re: Ligero Wrapper
Not many people using ligero for wrappers or binders especially. It is very heavy and when you make a cigar with such heavy tobacco, you have combustion problems. However, the flavor is great so a lot of people will look past burn problems in trade for flavor. That said, it is also extremely expensive to use ligero,… -
Re: Ohhhh shafty...
Man, those are great sticks. I still have a couple left from the original release box that I picked up. Don't think they will make it through the summer. I really want to snag the LFD 20th anniversary beer stein and cigars when they come out as well. The follow up to the Chapter 1 is also on my radar. Yeah, I'm looking… -

It's set for delivery today and I won't call myself a true audiophiles , but I thought sound goes through hdmi cables as well? I have an Onkyo receiver that supports 1.7 hdmi audio n… -
Re: Litto Gomez / LFD patents the chisel vitola.
Ken Light:What happened to all the talk of this being an art? Plenty of musicians over the years have innovated a technique, not one of them patented it. Eddie Van Halen didn't patent two-hand tapping. And Lito he said he's tried to do this 3 or 4 times? Well, now we know who the Gene Simmons of the cigar world is. +1…
