Re: THE NEWBIE WELCOMING THREAD
Hey everyone my name is George or W for short. I know more about cigars than all of you put together. I thought I could learn something here. Nothing to see, just a bunch of goat palate dog rocket smokers here. Carry on.

Whats up everyone. I'm Sean and have been smoking cigars on and off for the past 5 years. Live in Northern Nevada. Look forward to engaging with yall, but hopefully not as hostile as the threads above lol.lol, welcome aboard. We tend to give what we get. Just read the room a little. Sarcasm is prevalent…but comradery prevails. Thick skin is a must, but we can take as much as we give. A lot of great information and people here.
Well being think skin'd was almost a prerequesit for my job so thats not an issue. I did some reading before posting and there is a lot of good info, along with a lot of banter that is comical to read. thanks for the reply.

Anybody got a recommendation for an oriental forward tobacco to try? I don't know hwat flavors are what yet but I really like that almost musky B.O. taste (if that makes sense) I have found in a few.
I agree with @Rdp77 regarding KBV, oriental affair and fore glory are great.
HU…Asmara and Nebari are excellent. Recently, tried Khartoum and blew me away.
McConnell I love.
Wilke Coronado is one of my absolute favorites.
That’s a small sample of some of the orientals I smoke regularly. I’m biased, as orientals are my favorite.

Re: Tobacco Preferences
For oriental blends I’d check out KBV (Ken Byron Ventures). He does a great job with all sorts of blends, including orientals, and uses different oriental tobaccos. He gives good descriptions of what he uses so you can get a good idea what it is you’re looking for.
Now for that musky b.o. taste you mentioned…I’d try Dominican cigars with heavy amounts of piloto cubano in them. Or some Fuentes.
