The (2) Milano wooden humidors I have are very nice i seasoned one of them but have not placed anything inside yet I’ve just been watching it to see if the RH will remain stable. If you bought the brand new they'll probably be pretty good. They will probably lose a lot of humidity for a gradual amount of time, so you'll have to keep them hydrated. I have many desktops here that I have used successfully in Vegas. You just have to pay attention to them.
Yes I have purchased all my humidors brand new. I have so many now and I just bought three more today so I have more on the way because they were on sale so I’ve just been collecting humidors. Good news is I won’t ever need another humidor, I’m set for life. I’ve also probably got a cigar collection that could last me or the next decade.

Lol said everyone I ever knew. They all have one thing in common. They all have bigger and more containers to hold cigars hahaha.

I would really like to used the Acrylic humidors I purchased versus my tupperdors if I can remove the smell from them. I will try those tips. I thought to use baking soda in them, would I leave it in there in a dish or try to rub it in/ clean it with the BS? Both the acrylic humidors I purchased have removable Spanish cedar trays so I can completely clean the inside/outside of the acrylic box itself. I have a 30 day return window on these acrylic humidors…Yeah don't rub it in. Could scratch the acrylic or make it hazy. Just dry baking soda and the dish will do. From what I've heard, the newspaper trick works the best.
And it seems that someone has CAS. Not cigar acquisition syndrome, but container acquisition syndrome! 😂
Haha yes I have both of the CAS right now..
I’m going to try using baking soda after my activated charcoal packets. I’ve had three large activated charcoal packets in each acrylic humidor for 24 hours and want to try to keep them in there for 3 days or so before I remove them and see the results.
Have any ideas where I can get some brand new news papers? I live in a rural area and most of my shopping in online with shipping. Carriers probably hate me.
Do you have brown paper bags? Construction paper? Those would also work. I live in the middle of an urban area, and I have no idea where to get a newspaper either haha

Re: What is in your pipe?
I lit up some of the SG burnt ends last night from W, took a while to get them going then needed the fire department to put them out, thanks Jeff, I guess

Not music so not sure if this the right section (I am sure someone will let me know if not lol) but I have started listening to audiobooks on AudibleSomeone at work suggested something called Dungeon Crawler Carl it's high fantasy adventure and it's absolutely hilarious. It's kind of like an RPG world (if you know you know) but with a lot of humor thrown in. Would recommend.
The podcast hello from the magic tavern sounds a lot like what you’re describing. It’s takes an episode or two to get into but it’s hilarious and definitely not one I’ll listen to with my kids in the car.

If you post your views be prepared for someone to give theirs, no need to go all bunched panties.

@Rdp77 I actually disagree with that analogy. Because regardless of your first post Fuente doesn’t make “**** cigars” they make good cigars that in some cases are way too expensive. But it’s not Ferrari vs Ford. It’s “The name you know” people do trust the brand.
I smoked a Hemingway Signature the other day. Enjoyed the hell out of even picked up a 5er since they were on sale. And except people who love to hate I have never heard anyone say “oh that Opus X was a **** cigar”
There are just much better cigars a person could buy for that money. But the key is “for that money”
But I don’t see this any different when a new guy who comes to the forum and posts truly awful cigars because right now they don’t know any better.
I wouldn’t bag on a dude posting a La Perla, but I would hope he would learn.
No difference.
I respect that, but it’s your opinion. Just like the first line of my post :
Ok, so let me clear something up about my views on Fuente, and specifically Opus, cigars.
To me they’re like the Ferrari of the cigar world.
Please note the words “my views” and “to me”. I was not stating something as a proven fact, just my opinion. I don’t want to nor do I expect to change anyone’s mind. Simply stating why my view on the subject is what it is.
And I will agree that it is “the name you know”. That’s kind of my point. If everyone tells you that they are the best…I guess they have to be.
