While the new line is called Buffalo Trace, it’s neither an infused cigar nor a cigar aged in spent Buffalo Trace barrels. It uses an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a Brazilian Arapiraca binder and Dominican piloto cubano and Nicaraguan fillers. It is being made at General Cigar Dominicana in Santiago, Dominican Republic.
I bought a fiver on Bid for about $15. For $3 before shipping I thought they were very serviceable.
It was ok to me. The burn was good with no issues. Went out with about an inch and some change to go. The flavor was consistent and did not get bitter. Not remarkable but I won't turn one down. I wouldn't hesitate to smoke one while engaged in an activity but, at this point, won't sit and dwell on it while smoking.
