See some around here. We are close to a lake and it is legal. Some folks around here have issues with it, mostly because they are not aware of the laws, or false belief of road taxes and other taxes paid.

That tent would work great Ed, just not sure if it comes with a comfy chair and a heater
LOL not usually Randy. Keep a bit of slab wood for fires, sometimes just when doing chores, most of the time if it isn't high winds my m-65 field coat is the warmest thing I have (down to my last coat). Most days I have to be outside feeding anyway so it doesn't matter.

I'm just gonna copy and paste what I wrote in this thread 11 years ago. I was gonna say something new but it started to sound the same so...
The key to cold & windy outdoor smoking is, in my opinion, crating a barrier so that you can remain warm and dry. One solution is an ice fishing tent or a hunting blind. Furnished with a comfortable chair and a small propane or electric heater, these are quite comfortable accommodations for smoking.
I had used a hunting blind, but I actually went ahead and got an ice fishing tent slightly larger than my blind and a bit sturdier. I use neither at this time. The ice fishing tent is available for sale, but shipping might be a biotch. I'm thinking of trying to sell local but nobody ice fishes here. Help me think of other uses so somebody will take it off my hands. It's red so not so great as a blind but maybe I can remind everyone the deer are colorblind. Aren't they?
