If there's a rub for a meat or potatoes or something, say it's like salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Is there any reason to have to mix all those together before putting them on the meat? Or can you just add them one at a time and ignore anything that says to mix them all first?
Mixing them all first allows them to be evenly absorbed. If you do them one at a time, the first one will mix with moisture and form a barrier. You can end up with layers of seasoning instead of the intended outcome.
I'm particularly excited by my new polka-dot puffy-sleeved top; the denim jumper is just every day wear. And the plastic fork is because all my good silverware is slightly tarnished.
