Didn’t make it but we went looking for a mantle today at a reclaim lumber yard. We needed a pretty large piece at least 90” long and nothing higher then 4” with a depth around 7-8”. We looked in the mill house and found a few that worked around $400-$600. Sitting out in the rain in a pile of “$1 a board foot” we found this. $18 out the door! Held together with iron nails they think easily 80 years old.

I would but it's a so so landscape I bought at the thrift store. I bought it for the frame at $4. I will brake it down and over paint the pict. I save a lot of money by doing this.
