It's a shame, too. Euro-spec BMW autos with the common rail diesel engine get the same performance as the same car with gasoline engines sold here, and get twice the mileage from a gallon of diesel instead of gasoline. Can't have that engine here, because our bureaucracy insists on stupid fixes like DEF. Proving Einstein right again, stupidity has no limits.
But, we can use our inefficient diesel engines to power generators to fuel the electric car.
