Assar Gabrielsson and Gustaf Larson (an economist and an engineer) shared a vision as they set out to build a car that set new standards for safety and quality. The first Volvo rolled off the production line in 1927, and the name means “I roll” in Latin, referring to the Swedish SKF ball bearing that arrived in 1915.

Different Rodriguez. Those you have there are made by a family in Key West. They just recently started to have them distributed nationwide. I’m not sure if they actually make these in the shop in Key West, but it’s a really cool place. They’ll roll and sell you bundles on the spot.
