Some of you know how my power went out just before 6pm on Saturday. I was away and was notified by neighbors as well as a text from the utility company. I came home to two bucket trucks in the alley behind my house, and two old electricians working to remedy the situation. Because I'm the old guy in the Progressive commercials that can't not talk to people doing their job, I asked how it was going and what they suspected caused this, since the weather was good when it happened. The guy up top said, "Mylar balloon shorted out the wires," and said every time there's a "celebration of life," and they release all the balloons, the same thing happens.
Anyway, today I was out back doing the first mowing of the season and came across this souvenir...
