Well, I F'ed up tonight, but it hasn't come to hurt me.
Janelle and I went to a Gala hosted by the realtor we bought our house through several years ago. Hors d'oeuvres, appetizers, cocktails, food, raffles, etc. So, I loaded up an appetizer plate with a few things, including crostini toast with a cheesy dip. A few minutes after eating the crostini and dip, I feel my tongue tingling. Motherfvcker, what was that dip?? I went back to the table and found the card. Crap Dip!! Some of you know I am very allergic to shellfish. Oh, great, here we go, another several-hour trip to the ER for Epinephrine and Benadryl. Fortunately, either it was fake crab, or there wasn't much of it in the dip, but things didn't progress beyond a bit of a runny nose and some minor itching and tingling in the back of my throat. We're home now, I have a cigar, and I'm sure I'm beyond any danger-point by now.
It's been over a decade since my last ER trip due to this allergy, but I still need to be diligent.
