This is making me ask how often I use my nubber; more often or less often than when I was newer to cigars? when and why I still use it?
Sometimes, on the vHerf, I use a nubber so Frank won't give me grief for jumping off early, with a cigar I wouldn't necessarily smoke down that far.
Maybe my palate is burned out, or maybe it's becoming more discerning, but it seems like there are fewer cigars these days that need to be nubbed. Even the very good cigars, once they're down to an inch, inch-and-a-quarter, where my fingers can't deal with it, I'm happy to let it die a peaceful death.
How often do you reach for a nubber, and why?

I never use one. I don’t smoke for the nicotine, so the first sign that one has lost its flavor I’m done. Sometimes they’ll hold flavor til my fingers get warm, but that’s not very often.

Yeah, maybe I'll leave it for him.
I was actually reaching for the vines to pull them off the wall when I saw it. Mostly black bees with white on the head and abdomen. I'll have to look up what they are, but they don't look friendly.

My next-door neighbor's dog is allowed to run free. Little football-sized grey Pomeranian mix. For years I didn't even realize he belonged to my next-door neighbor. He seems to be legally blind and roams in traffic. I'm surprised he hasn't been run over. Just recently he's decided he likes to poop in my back yard, or maybe I've been lucky so far and it's just taken me this long to be stepping in it while mowing.
