I understand people making mistakes, we all do everyday.
But this group of people are responsible for the security of this nation and they cause this kind of lack of security....Somethings wrong.
Especially when it first came out some of them flat out lied and said nothing happened and blamed the reporter for making it up.....Is this the "best" people we have?....I guess so, cause they're still getting a pay check.

On the good side of things, the mission was a success and no good guys were hurt.

Interesting piece, still never addressed why the reporter got added.

I understand and sympathize with the furor over using non-government communications, but think about it, the tech world moves at a much quicker pace than Congress. By the time Congress approves and implements something, it's obsolete, or at least quite dated. One of the reasons I didn't fault Hillary for her e-mail indiscretions, she wanted to communicate quickly and effectively, and government channels don't.

It still seems like a deliberate leak, or maybe they're all just fumbling around.

Interesting perspectives. I don't know what disinformation you're talking about? The timeline in the group text turned out to be dead on balls accurate, to coin a phrase.

Also understand the concern about the ostensible lack of technology concerning parts of the government that require sensitive operations. The only thing that I can say to that in dealing with sensitive operations over the last few decades is it's just too **** bad.

Look, I use signal. I've been using it for years for work related things. It is strictly straight unclassified only. Signal was literally hacked a month ago. That was one instance that we knew of. I don't know how many we don't know of.

I'm sure those higher ups have ways of getting messages across securely without using their personal cell phones.
