Oh, and damn! Somebody's been dumping the clutch! I've never seen that before.

Sometimes, depending on who I’m riding with, I do ride hard and sometimes dry shift towards the upper gears… I think this was a result of when I lost clutch fluid and couldn’t get the clutch out of gear. I had a short drive home but let’s say it wasn’t pretty nor optimal conditions for sure.

Also, a briar pipe should be rested for a week or so after a couple of bowls to let it dry out. Cobs are more forgiving. Though it should be mentioned that, back in the day, folks often had but a single pipe and smoked it all day, every day.

Legally speaking, it is unlawful for a non-Law Enforcement Officer to dispatch a road-wounded animal in Pennsylvania. It is also unlawful to keep any animal killed outside of legal hunting regulations. You can't keep your roadkill (maybe actual groundhogs, lol.)
One time I encountered a scene where a young woman had hit a deer, and it was severely injured and laying in the nearby field about 20' off the road, with its head up, looking like it was in shock, unable to get up or move. I was armed, and could have dispatched it, but she had already called 911 and police were on the way. It was difficult to watch it suffer, but I'm not going to get myself legally jacked up over it.
