Thoughts?
Overall quite an enjoyable smoke. Draw was a little tight in the beginning, might try a guillotine cut next time. Even burn the whole way, no corrections. Smooth smoke, very little burn on the retrohale in the first half. Second half became more flavorful the shorter it got with the best flavors at the nub. Sounds dirty, probably is. My experience level is still novice so whatever notes there are I couldn't identify this go around. Will likely buy a fiver next time.

Re: Cellaring
Put a pinch or two in a bowl, then cover the bowl with a very damp paper towel or cloth for 30-45 minutes. Don't allow the damp cloth to touch the tobacco....

Re: Etsy Pipes
https://pipedia.org/wiki/Stanwell
In the fall of 2009 we heard the announcement that the Stanwell pipe-factory in Borup, Denmark, would close its doors at the end of that year due to poor returns and financial losses. Indeed a sad message, especially as Stanwell was the only remaining pipe-factory in Scandinavia. However, it did not mean that the Stanwell-pipe was dead but the owner, Scandivaian Tobacco Group (STG), had decided to move the production to Italy. So beginning in 2010, all Stanwell pipes are made there.

If you’re new…then I’m guessing I’m mixing you up with someone else. I thought your handle was an alias from an existing forum member. Carry on.
I'm relatively new. I mainly hang out in the vherf a night or 2 a week
Re: What is in your pipe?
I found that if the average non-smoker likes the smell of it…I generally don’t like the taste.

Re: Cellaring
Had semi high hopes but alas, treasure is plundered. Upon opening, no pop, the aroma was promising. First touch, I knew the treasure was lost. Drier than dry to the touch. Emptied the contents into a large ziplock bag with a boveda. I know the oils are long gone but perhaps someone from the pipe club might want to try it. This was a large tin of 01/1990 Anatolian Mystique, blended??? by Irwin J. Friedman in Berkeley, CA. I’m going to try it and see what happens.

Re: What is in your pipe?
Butter pecan smells good in the jar but almost nothing in the pipe. Disappointing since I have two pint jars full of it. I suppose I could mix it 50/50 with plum pudding or something else thats strong.

These are good cigars. I just dont think the reblend was necessary.

Re: What is in your pipe?
I have to correct my post. After smoking a bit more there is a distinct room note. Actually smells better than the tobacco. Just wish aromatics had a little flavor to go with the aroma. I don't feel like I wasted the $20. Just not excited.
