Gen Z’s typing proficiency is reportedly dwindling as young people adapt to touch screens, with keyboarding falling to the wayside — just like writing in cursive.

The Wall Street Journal reported that some high schoolers are more adept at typing on their iPads — with one 18-year-old writing an 8-page paper on one such device — or smartphones, rather than a traditional keyboard.

While he’s less concerned with the speed at which people type, he fears that the increased reliance on smart devices will degrade the way young people communicate.

“I suspect auto-correct and generative AI are more likely to have a deteriorating effect on the ability to write,” he told Daily Mail.

Nah. 9.1 in the Stinger. Grabbing some Boz Scaggs and Christopher Cross tapes online. Just saw an info graphic showing a 2000% increase in cassette sales since 2020. Must be all the audiophiles out there buying up cassettes.

Talking with my 7-year-old Grandson this evening. He is making a Star Destroyer out of a large cardboard box, and is planning a large battle to occur on Christmas Day, when he gets his AT-AT. He has a lot of work to do, only having around 4 months to complete his battle preparations. He got about 199 things done today, but has a lot more to do. LOL.
