The best heat I've had was from the peri peri in the Congo. Smuggled some seeds home on a break and my wife tended them like a puppy...until she got drunk one day and left them in the Arizona sun. The asian heat some have posted are the closest.

Since Xikar sold to the Chinese and now they also own the Palio brand I’ve seen nothing but junk out of both brands. Hope you have better luck Edward.

Best hot sauce I ever had was bought at a morning market on St. Croix in the early 70's. Homemade by one of the Crusan women. I showed up at daybreak after hand-lining for yellow tail all night. Traded fish for hot sauce. Good on stewed goat.
