Four ponds of goodness and a nice bodyguard from @peter4jc.
Re: Things I learned in Vherf.
I'm tingling with excitement, @IDGAFrank, but thanks for letting me know.

@Yakster the football game ended in a scorigami, as it was a 40-40 tie. First time in history any game ended with that exact score.

So, you're not to blame, @mgappling. We get a LOT of flack here, scammers and worse, and then someone comes along with a legit question and over-reaction sets in quickly.
Your cigars are worth what you say they are, to you. It's possible that someone might want to put them on display somewhere. There's a place near me called Discovery Park of America that has a couple ancient cigars included in one of their displays, but I doubt they carry much $$ value.
If you're actually interested in the hobby, this is the place. If you're looking for a venue to sell stuff, not so much.
I think that if I were you, I'd build a little display box, include one of those preservative packs somewhere unseen, and mount a little plaque with some information about your grandfather, maybe a picture or two, and be happy with the memories.

Large chamber. Thick walls. I'm liking this pipe shape (number 129). Will have to keep an eye out for more of these.
